Yes. You should keep the service with your current provider while waiting for InterNIC to complete the transfer process. We will provide you with a temporary URL address so you can mirror the site on our server. All email and web pages will still be accessed from your current site. When InterNIC announces the completion of the transfer there is a 72 hour propagation period where visitors could go to either site. At the end of the 72 hours you should contact your previous host to have them delete the old domain from their records and update their DNS record. If you use the same provider for your Internet access you will not be able to access your domain site at Hosting By ACES until they update their DNS.

If you ordered a new domain name through us, it will take 24-48 hours. If you are transferring an existing domain name to our company, it will take 24-48 hours after you make the DNS change with your registrar.

 

Yes! All web hosting packages come with the Agora shopping cart and OSCommerce at no additional cost! Interchange can be installed, however, due to support problems with cPanel and Interchange you may have difficulty getting support for Interchange. We strongly suggest the use of one of the other shopping carts.

To avoid downtime, please follow these procedures:

Sign up an account using our online order form and it will be setup within the same business day. We will Email you an "Account Setup" letter which will include login so you can upload your files to our server.

After you're done uploading your files, contact your domain name registrar and have your domain name pointed to our DNS numbers.

It will take about 48-72 hours for your registrar to update their DNS. Once it's updated, your domain name will point to your website that you have with us automatically.

After you confirm that your website is pointed to Hosting By ACES, go ahead and cancel your account with your previous hosting company.
