Every entity registered with InterNIC has a NIC handle. You can use the same NIC handle as the contact for several domains. This way, if you make a change to the NIC handle (i.e., the e-mail address), all domains using that NIC handle will be updated as well.

It usually takes about 24-72 hours before it is visible to all users of the Internet. All Internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect new site locations. This process is called propagation.

A domain name is your address on the Internet. It is linked to a numerical address called an IP address (e.g., 211.225.471.38). The Internet uses Internet Protocol (IP) numbers to locate other computers. Internet users would typically have a hard time remembering these long strings of numbers to find sites. Domain names were developed to allow users to name these (IP) addresses with easy to remember names or phrases.

A domain is not necessary to host your site with us. You can use what is called a sub-domain. If you use this method, your site can be accessed in the format http://yourname.hostingbyaces.com/. You can replace the word "yourname" with anything you want. A domain looks much more professional for a business site, but is not necessary for a personal site.

If you receive an error when creating sub-domains, open a ticket and request for sub-domains to be enabled.
NOTE: If your domain is not pointing to our nameserver and is still in the progress of been transferred, you CANNOT create sub-domains. You will have to wait until your domain has fully propagated before you can create sub-domains.
